Minimising the risk of Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) for patients is a priority for the Scottish Ambulance Service. We do this by ensuring staff are dedicated to your well being and receive guidance and education on infection prevention and control; for example by practicing regular hand hygiene and cleaning equipment in between patient use.
However, to further support this and ensure your safety we ask that you always follow instructions from staff and never touch any of the equipment within the ambulance.
