Nominations Now Closed

Members of the public are being asked to take part in the Scottish Ambulance Service annual staff and volunteer recognition awards by nominating anyone that they think deserves recognition for their commitment to patient care.

The awards recognise the high levels of dedication and professionalism shown by Service staff and volunteers.

Closing date for nominations is 31st August 2015

Pauline Howie, Chief Executive, Scottish Ambulance Service, said:

“These awards recognise examples of the high level of dedication and commitment to patient care that is at the heart of our values and often beyond the normal call of duty. Staff members and volunteers are nominated by their peers and the public and it is always humbling to see so many stories about our people, who are totally dedicated to delivering the best possible care for patients in communities across Scotland. It is a great reminder of the difference that they make every day to many people’s lives."

The awards are supported by Laerdal Medical Ltd and UK Operations Manager Stephen Murnane, said:

"Laerdal is very pleased and honoured to be sponsoring this years event in partnership with Philips. The event recognises people who as part of their job helps to save lives in the community which is also Laerdal's mission and as a partnership Laerdal and Philips look forward to supporting the ambulance service and the crews to save many more lives in the future."

The winners will be recognised at a national awards ceremony in October.
