Update – Major Incident at Clutha Bar in Glasgow

 Monday 2 December 2013

Further to the tragic events on Friday 29th November 2013 at the Clutha Bar in Glasgow, the Scottish Ambulance Service is continuing to work closely with Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and other agencies at the scene.

Our thoughts and sympathies are with all of those who have suffered and their extended families as a result of this tragic event.

On behalf of all the staff of the Scottish Ambulance Service, and especially our flight crew paramedics and Emergency Medical Retrieval Service, we particularly send our sympathies to the families of Captain David Traill, PC Kirsty Nelis and PC Tony Collins. Our thoughts are with them, Police Scotland and Bond Air Services at this time.

The immediate response from our staff, and the ongoing commitment, over the course of the weekend has been outstanding. We would like to thank everyone, including our partners and the Scottish public, for their support and for their professionalism and dedication in such difficult circumstances.
