Board Meeting

The Board is responsible for ensuring that the Service meets all of its obligations to patients and staff.

The Board is made up of:

  • a Non-Executive Chair
  • the Chief Executive
  • nine Non-Executive directors including an Employee Director
  • two Executive Directors

The Chair and Non-Executive Directors are appointed by the Scottish Government through the Commissioner for Public Appointments. The Chief Executive and other Executive Directors are appointed through a process of public advertising and formal interview.

Board meetings take place every two months and are conducted in public. Members of the public can attend these meetings and observe proceedings but must be aware that they cannot take part in the discussion. To register your interest and to receive instructions for joining the meeting via Microsoft Teams, please contact Pippa.Hamilton@nhs.scot. Requests to observe a Board meeting must be received at least 24 hours before the Board meeting is due to start.
