Regulating our Endowment Fund

Endowment Funds are completely separate from Government money, and annual accounts are produced, audited by professional external auditors and are available for inspection to demonstrate the governance we place on these charitable funds.

All donations received are held in Trust within the Endowment Fund and are used to fund a range of items such as additional amenities for patients, equipment and research. The trustees (Scottish Ambulance Service Board) make decisions on the best use of these funds. However, in practice the provide guidance on how funds can be used for charitable purposes to benefit public health.
