To apply for the position of Trainee Ambulance Technician, please complete the 3 part Application form, this will include your application, core competencies form and the Regions form.
• For guidance on completing the first part of the application please consult the document entitled “Application Form Guidance Notes”
• For guidance on completing the core competency part of the application, please consult the documents entitled “Core Competencies Guidance Sheet” and also “Ambulance Technician – KSF Post Outline”
• Please also complete the Regions document. This will give us an indication of where you will be willing to work.
Attached is some information regarding the Certificate of Higher Education in Ambulance Studies. You will be enrolled on this course if successful in your application and will attend the Scottish Ambulance Academy, Glasgow Caledonian University for the first 10 weeks of your employment with the Service. You will also be required to attend a one week induction and a 3 week Emergency Driving course.

If you are successfully short-listed you will be contacted by a member of the recruitment team regarding attending an assessment day. Assessments will be run approximately every 3 months.
