Ambulance Control Centre

An Ambulance Control Centre

When you ring 999, your call will be handled by one of our highly trained call takers.

Their role is to make sure that you get the right help and will ask detailed questions about the nature of the emergency to ensure that we can respond quickly and in the most appropriate way. They use sophisticated world-class software to help them make the right decisions and get the right help as quickly as possible.

Our clinical advisors based in the control rooms give lifesaving medical advice over the phone while the ambulance is on its way and our highly skilled crews are trained to deal with a wide range of medical emergencies.
As a member of our medical dispatch team, you must be able to remain calm under severe pressure, have excellent communication skills and be able to evaluate situations quickly.
