The Scottish Ambulance Service
provides Accident & Emergency and Non Emergency services to
the people of Scotland from a total of 152 locations. These locations
are a mix of Ambulance Stations and Home Based operating points.
We also operate our Helicopter Emergency Medical Service from two
dedicated Air Bases; one in central Glasgow an one at Inverness
Airport.
There are six divisions within the Scottish Ambulance Service,
each headed by a General Manager and managed by a Divisional Management
Team. Because of the diverse nature of Scotland each division faces
different challenges in delivering a service to the people of Scotland.
