Entry Requirements - Minimum accurate typing speed of 35 words per minute. Selection Process - Detailed Application Form, Telephone Interview, Spelling Test, Call Simulation Tests and Interview Training and Probationary Period - 4 weeks training, 1 year probation. Emergency Medical DispatcherDispatchers are responsible for ensuring that the nearest and most appropriate vehicles and crews are sent to Emergency and Urgent Calls. This is achieved using a Priority Based Dispatch system and other protocols and strategies to maintain the optimum use of the resources available.
