Staff member celebrates 51st year at Ambulance Service
We'd like send a big congratulations to Andrew Reid who has today celebrated his 51st year of service with the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Andrew, who will retire as an Ambulance Care Assistant at Vale of Leven, has worked a wide range of roles, including 39 years as an ambulance technician, and several locations such as Islay, Mull, Dunoon and Arrochar.
Andrew, who was presented with a certificate and gifts today, said: "I have enjoyed a long career in the SAS covering a wide range of roles.
"After 51 years, I have decided to retire and let somebody else have a go. "I have enjoyed working at many other locations and my colleagues are more like friends - I will never forget them"
A fantastic achievement and thanks for all your service Andrew - we wish you all the very best in your well deserved retirement!
