North ACC dispatcher says farewell to SAS after 22 years

We would like to wish North ACC dispatcher Calum McLean all the best in his retirement!
After 22 years of Service, Calum said goodbye to colleagues recently.
Calum who previously served in the Royal Navy as a medic, latterly on S.A.R. duties with 819 SQN HMS Gannet, joined SAS in 2003 as a control room dispatcher, before transferring to PTS and back to A&E dispatch in 2018.
Calum said: “It has been a source of pride for me to have served our communities in the north with the SAS. There have been many highs & lows over the years with some people & incidents I will never forget.
“I have made some great friends in the service (though some of these even after 22 years I have never met especially from our far flung island stations!!!!) Maybe retirement will let me have the time to change that I hope.
Our longer serving colleagues in North ACC will not be surprised to hear that of all I will miss my beloved "Highland desk". Part of me will always be "The Highland Dispatcher". But for now its Calum Control.....OUT.”
Thanks for everything you have done and all the best!
