Volunteer with the Scottish Ambulance Service and Make a Difference in Infection Prevention and Control!

Are you passionate about maintaining high standards of environmental cleanliness?

The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team is looking for enthusiastic members of the public to get involved in the National Cleaning Services Specification Monitoring (NCSS) across ambulance stations and vehicles in the North region. This is your chance to play an active role in supporting the quality and safety of our A&E services!

What’s Involved?

As a Public Involvement volunteer, you will accompany a member of the IPC team and the IPC Auditor during NCSS audits. Your role would be to observe an audit, ensuring compliance with national standards. Don’t worry—you won’t be conducting the audits yourself and we will talk over the standards. Your observations and feedback will be key to improving and evaluating our cleaning services.

We’ll provide comprehensive training and full support. This is an unpaid role, but agreed expenses will be covered..

To apply, please complete our online form here.
