Dufftown responder raises more than £11k for charity

AN emergency responder from Dufftown has raised more than £11,000 for a charity close to her heart after running her first marathon.

Jenny Davidson, Technician, was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS in 2023 and was offered a place to run the London Marathon as part of a fundraiser for the Grampian Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre.

She said: “I felt this was a great opportunity to run my first marathon and raise funds for a local charity. I have been to the Grampian MS Centre for oxygen therapy, and I am currently on a treatment programme and in remission.

“I was over the moon to finish. I have always watched the marathon on TV, thinking I would like to do it one day, but I never actually thought I would achieve it.”

She raised a total of £11,064.
