Help shape the future of patient care in Scotland
Help shape the future of patient care in Scotland
The Scottish Ambulance Service is seeking Patient Representatives to join its Clinical Governance Committee — a unique opportunity to ensure the patient voice is at the heart of decisions shaping national healthcare.
About the Role
The Clinical Governance Committee improves care by learning from real patient experiences and frontline practice, ensuring services evolve while staying firmly patient-centred.
As a Patient Representative, you’ll work alongside staff, healthcare experts and non-executive directors — influencing discussions, strengthening decision-making, and helping shape policies that reflect the needs of communities across Scotland, including remote and island areas.
What we’re looking for:
- Have not been employed by the Scottish Ambulance Service
- Ideally bring insight into remote and island communities
- Have a broad understanding of national healthcare challenges
- Can access MS Teams for virtual meetings
No prior experience is required — just a genuine interest in improving patient care and a willingness to share your perspective.
Your commitment
- Attend a 3-hour virtual meeting every four months
- Serve for up to three years
What’s in it for you?
- Influence how patient care is delivered across Scotland
- Work with experienced professionals and decision-makers
- Contribute to meaningful, system-wide improvement
