Scheduled Care coordinator represents Team GB in shooting

Big congratulations to Scheduled Care Coordinator Izzy MacKintosh who recently won a Bronze Medal for Team GB in the European Championships.
Izzy, who joined SAS in November 2024, competed in the Olympic Trap Shooting section, both as an individual and trio category.
Her medal was for the individual event where she reached the semi final while her team narrowly missed out on another bronze at the championships held in France.
Izzy said: “The competition was good and the level of competition was very high due to it being the European championships.
"I wasn't expecting to win anything since the Solo event is a strictly single barrel competition as that is a technique that I have had to work on previously as it is not my strong point.
"Compared to all the other event where it is full use of both barrels at the target, but thrilled to have made it to the semi finals and to come away with a Bronze medal from my first European championships is something I would've never expected."
Izzy, who works out of SAS’s North ACC base in Inverness, started shooting when she was little, picking up the sport after attending the Moy Country Fair. She travels to Dundee nearly every weekend to practice.
Izzy: "I joined the ambulance service as I grew up my dad was a paramedic and now on PTS and my mum started in ambulance control and now is a paramedic team leader and it just seemed a natural step for me to come into the service."
