All protocols/priorities in place in December 2022, to ensure that where an ambulance response time was breached, or was going to be breached, contact was made with the individual awaiting an ambulance to check on their health and safety, and the timescales in which such contact required to be made.

The protocol that is utilised for when an ambulance response time was breached can be found on our website FOI 25-128 Protocol for breaching 120-minute target time
This protocol was in place in December 2022.
It is important to note – This is our Welfare Callback process, this is in place for any timed-admissions call received in the Scottish Ambulance Service. This is not solely utilised for calls that may have breached response times.
