Information Requested

I called 999 for an ambulance as I was experiencing worrying symptoms which I thought could be a stroke. An ambulance crew arrived shortly thereafter as assessed my symptoms. I am requesting a copy of all records regarding this incident.  I am also requesting a copy of any policy or clinical guidance document(s) which guide your practitioner’s professional practice.

We have applied section 38 1(a) to your request for medical records.  This exemption applies where the information requested is the personal information of the applicant (you).  Releasing information through Freedom of Information is releasing the information to the public.  Our data protection team will reply with the information requested under the subject Access Request for Medical Records.

The Scottish Ambulance Service A&E crews follow the guidelines set out by the Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee (JRCALC – Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee).

I have attached the Scottish Ambulance Services’ current Stroke guidelines.
