Can I request, broken down by the calendar years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 (most recent data):
- How much has your health board spent on sending staff to conferences/seminars/symposiums/workshops (including cost of tickets, travel, accommodation and expenses)?
- How many international conferences have staff attended, funded by your health board, including a) the location/country, b) the purpose of the trip, and c) the cost (including cost of tickets, travel, accommodation and expenses)?

Please see the table below detailing the amount the Scottish Ambulance Service has spent on staff attending conferences/seminars/symposiums/workshops.
Important things to consider
- This information has been provided in financial years; to provide this in calendar years would require complex skill and judgement and therefore we have applied section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002, as information not held.
- These figures have been provided using the cost code for conferences, this is likely to only capture the cost of tickets to conferences etc. The cost of travel, accommodation and expenses are not coded in a way that would allow us to identify the reason for travel
