Can you provide dates of regular training for Job Evaluation practitioners from 2015 to date? Can you provide the number of trained Job Evaluation by SAS management and SAS trade union representatives, identifying the numbers for each trade union?
- Response
The Scottish Ambulance Service does not have a data set to report on the figures requested before 2023; it is for this reason we have applied section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002 as information not held.
Please see the figures below detailing the staff trained in the Job Evaluation process, the figures are too small to report on yearly trained figures.
Job Match
Management: 15
Staff Side: 18 (Unison 6, Unite 7, GMB 5)
Consistency Checking
Management: 5
Staff Side: 6 (Figures too small to breakdown by union)
Job Analysis Questionnaire
Management: <5
Staff Side: 0
We have recorded training: January 2023 and May 2025.
Please note that all staff who attend the training are trained in Job Matching, from these attendees only a few go on to do consistency checking and training in the Job Analysis Questionnaire.
For the given data, you will see that some of the figures are shown as, five or less than five, please note that this figure has been suppressed because the statistical value is less than five. The Scottish Ambulance service has a duty, under the Data Protection Act to avoid directly or indirectly revealing any personal details. It is therefore widely understood that provision of statistics on small numbers, five or less are statistically suppressed upon disclosure.
