I understand the recruitment of NQPs has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Can you clarify what the delay is please? I note from previous FOI SAS stated they had planned to recruit 300 across Scotland. Can you confirm if this number remains the same?

We can confirm that the Scottish Ambulance Service is still actively seeking to recruit more than 300 Newly Qualified Paramedics this year following the recent round of interviews and fitness testing.
We have commenced our matching process for successful candidates, however due to the volume of candidates to be matched to vacancies, this process is taking a bit longer than expected. We will however be advising every candidate in writing of their individual outcome shortly.
