1. NQP applicants for this year - what is happening?. We have been told delayed circumstances have impacted getting job offers out as planned in mid June. 2 East region being offered part time contracts only. Why is this when job advertised as full time? What is happening in the west and north region? 3.When can we expect to hear back? Is there still a July start date/start dates this year

We have applied section 25 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002 to questions 1 and questions 3 to your request. This exemption applies where information can be obtained from a reasonably accessible source. Due to the volume of applications received, each Region have taken steps to maximise the intake of NQPs.
The North Region have not had the same volume of applicants as East and West Region and have been able to offer full-time positions to cover the vacancies. If more applications are received in the area, they will also consider offering part-time positions.
There are no set recruitment processes that are required by law other than following a fair process. The Scottish Ambulance Service has the right to take decisions which set out the requirements for applying for any roles or vacancies within the Service.
