Information Requested

I am the secretary of a community lead action group servicing the Hallglen and Glen Village area. I am writing to request information under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004. Specifically, I would like to request the following:

  1. Any recorded incidents, reports, or internal communications from the past 5 years where emergency vehicles (including ambulances) have been unable to gain access, or their access has been delayed, due to parked vehicles on streets within Hallglen or Glen Village, Falkirk.
  2. Any assessments, reviews, or correspondence relating to access difficulties or safety concerns linked to parking in these areas. This information is being sought in support of a petition recently submitted to Falkirk Council, calling for improvements to parking in our area.

We are gathering factual evidence to better understand and demonstrate the real-world implications of the current parking situation. We understand that the Council may require more than anecdotal complaints to justify any further action, and therefore this request aims to collect objective records and evidence that may exist on this matter.

Response

Q1 - The Scottish Ambulance Service have not had any recorded incidents, reports or communications in the past five years that have related specifically to delays or access issues caused by parked vehicle on the street within Hallglen or Glen Village in Falkirk.

Q2 - The Scottish Ambulance Service has not conducted any assessments, reviews or have any correspondence relating to access concerns or difficulties within Hallglen or Glen Village in Falkirk.

It is for these reasons we have applied section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002 as information not held about access or parking restrictions on the street requested.
