Q1, Q2 & Q3 - The Scottish Ambulance Service cannot report response times by chief complaint; response
times can only be provided for call colour codes; these would capture all incidents and not exclusively falls.
It is for this reason we have applied section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002, as
information not held.Q4 – The Scottish Ambulance Service have no immediate plans or policies to change how 999 calls are
triaged or how they are responded to.
Q5 & Q6 – The Scottish Ambulance Service does not have any plans or policies that relate to reducing staff
headcount. SAS’s continued ambition, supported by Scottish Government, is to grow and develop the SAS
workforce, ensuring we continue to deliver the very best patient care by boosting capacity and increasing
our resilience in communities across Scotland.Q7 - The Scottish Ambulance Service does not have contracts or utilise Private Ambulance Services.
