Response

Please see the attached sheet detailing the number of times a patient has been conveyed by a Scottish Ambulance Service crew to a hospital in England from 01/01/2024 - 31/12/2024.  The hospitals where a patient was conveyed to by a SAS crew in England are:

  • Cumberland Infirmary (Carlisle)
  • Newcastle General Hospital (Newcastle)
  • Royal Victoria Infirmary (Newcastle)
  • Berwick Infirmary (Berwick-upon-Tweed)

The Scottish Ambulance service has a duty, under the Data Protection Act to avoid directly or indirectly revealing any personal details.  The figures are too small to break the conveyances down into incident types.
