- Information Requested
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. Specifically, I would like to know: The number of Newly Qualified Paramedic (NQP) roles the Scottish Ambulance Service intends to advertise or make available within the next 12 months. The anticipated dates or timeframes when these NQP recruitment campaigns are expected to open. If available, the planned geographical distribution of these posts across Scotland. Whether successful NQP applicants are currently being placed in holding pools, and if so, the average waiting time between being placed in a pool and being offered a substantive post.
- Response
The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) has applied section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland 2002, as information not held. To help explain the application of this exemption; SAS’s current recruitment campaign for Newly Qualified Paramedics is still underway with not all offers of employment having been made. Therefore, SAS does not currently have a date of when the next recruitment campaign for NQPs will open, or where planned vacancies will be.
Vacancy alerts can be set-up via the NHS Scotland Recruitment Portal, signing up to this allows you to be notified when the campaign goes live - NHS Scotland | Jobs | Search here for your perfect career - Jobs Page
Successful NQP candidates are not currently being placed in a holding pool.
