Does your Trust have a Medicines Management Unit or equivalent department for handling medicines (including controlled drugs)?
The Scottish Ambulance Service has a Medicines Management Group which oversees medicines-related matters and has the services of a pharmacist employed by NHS24. However, we do not have a dedicated Medicines Management Unit or equivalent department.
If yes, does that department employ Medicines Management Coordinators, Medicines Management Technicians, or equivalent roles?
We do not currently employ any roles dedicated solely to medicines management. This work forms part of the wider portfolios of other staff members.
What Agenda for Change banding / pay grade are those staff employed on?
As we do not have dedicated medicines management roles, there are no specific Agenda for Change bandings applicable.

Under Section 17 of FOISA, we are required to notify you when information is not held. In this case, we do not hold job descriptions or person specifications for dedicated medicines management roles, as such roles do not currently exist within our organisation.
