1 -Do your ambulance services have mechanisms in place to be able to give antibiotics where combined transfer and handover times to emergency department are greater than 1 hour?  

2 – If the answer to (1) is NO, are you considering whether you need to put mechanisms in place to be able to give antibiotics where combined transfer and handover times to emergency department are greater than 1 hour?

Yes, the Scottish Ambulance has guidance in place for staff to give antibiotics where combined transfer and handover times to emergency departments are greater than 1 hour.
