Information Requested

Please can you tell me how many call outs the Scottish Ambulance Service has attended on the A96 since the start of 2023 to the present date, broken down by year please?

For each incident can you specify the location, the nature of the incident (for example - RTC), and how many people were treated.

Response

Under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, a public authority is not required to provide information it does not hold. After careful consideration, we must advise that the Scottish Ambulance Service does not hold the requested information in the format specified.

While we do record incident data including location, nature of incident, and number of patients treated, our systems do not allow us to report specifically on incidents occurring on individual roads such as the A96. Incident location data is recorded by postcode area, which encompasses a broad geographical region and includes all incidents within that area — not solely those occurring on the A96.

As such, we are unable to isolate or extract data specifically relating to call outs on the A96. Therefore, in accordance with Section 17 of FOISA, we confirm that this information is not held.
