Information Requested

I work for South East Coast Ambulance Service and I am currently doing research into different services Trauma Risk Incident Management programmes and the different trends and behaviour patterns that are seen. I am particularly interested in a trend we have that shows an increase in staff accessing trim between the months of July - August.  I am interested to see if your service follows this trend and if so, why this could be? Or if you have another other noticeable patterns or behaviours.

Response

The Scottish Ambulance Service sees a monthly average TRiM referrals between 20-25.  The typical trend is higher is summer and winter months and lower volumes in the intervening periods.

In 2025 there were two incidents during summer that triggered higher TRiM referrals; details of these incidents are exempt under section 38(1)(b) as it can lead to the identification of individuals or incidents.
