Information Requested

Can you please tell me what the plans are for the Rothesay Ambulance Service building, located in Wallace Avenue, Rothesay, Isle of Bute, PA20. Nobody working there has any information regarding the future use of the building. There has been a new vehicle charging point located there, which would point towards a new use of the structure. I believe the Ambulance crews are to re-locate to share a building within the Police Scotland structure. I live opposite the current Ambulance depot, and would ask what are the future plans for it.

Response

Rothesay Ambulance Station at 6 Wallace Avenue remains fully operational for the Scottish Ambulance Service, with a new vehicle charging point installed to support on-going fleet requirements.

As part of our estate optimisation strategy, the Scottish Ambulance Service intend to co‑locate Rothesay crews in the refurbished Police Scotland building in Rothesay.  The move aims to improve staff welfare, collaboration and sustainability.

Under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA), the Scottish Ambulance Service can only provide recorded information that is held at the time of the request. FOISA does not oblige authorities to create new information, carry out fresh analysis, or give opinions to answer a request.  As such, the Scottish Ambulance Service does not hold any information on the future plans for the building requested.
