For the calendar year 2025:
- The median ambulance hospital turnaround time in Scotland
- The number of conveyances to hospitals by ambulance
- The number of ambulance hospital turnaround times of more than a) 20 min, b) 30 mins, c) 1 hour, d) 2 hours, e) 3 hours, f) 4 hours, g) 5 hours.

The Service does record turnaround times, which is from when an ambulance arrives at hospital to the point of departure. These turnaround times are affected by a wide range of factors, including ambulance staff cleaning vehicles following patient transportation, supporting the ongoing care of the patient and on occasions providing statements to the police.
Please see the attached sheet detailing the median turnaround times in Scotland at key hospitals for 01/01/2025 - 31/12/2025. All times are given in minutes and seconds. Figures have also been provided for turnaround times broken into the length categories provided in your request.
These turnaround times ARE NOT comparable to the handover times of other UK Ambulance Trusts.
Our local management teams are working closely with Health Boards to ensure that ambulances are released as quickly as possible.
