- Information Requested
The number of times that naloxone was administered by the Scottish Ambulance Service in the calendar years 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
- Response
Please see the table below detailing the total number of incidents Scotland-wide where naloxone has been noted from 01/01/2022 - 31/12/2025.
This information has been provided in two tables as a new clinical system is being phased in. This phased system has been in place since June 24 and involves only portion of Scotland. There is the possibility that that an incident from the Terrapace 3 system could be counted in the Terrapace 2 system and therefore the figures in the table should NOT be added together.
Terrapace 2:
2022
2023
2024
2025
3,776
4,154
3,376
1,484
Terrapace 3:
2024
2025

2,688
Point to note – This is a count of cases where the crew used the Naloxone (Narcan) drug button on the patient report forms. This count will not include cases where Naloxone was administered by bystanders or from the patient’s own supply.
