Please could I request the following information.

  1. How long is your NQP preceptorship process?
  2. Is a fast track available?
  3. What are the criteria to qualify for fast track?
  4. Over the period 2018-2025 how many preceptees applied for fast track each year?
  5. Of those that applied how many were successful?
  6. Please could I have a copy of your preceptorship policy?
Response

Q1 – The Scottish Ambulance Service Newly Qualified Paramedic (NQP) period is across the first 12 months in practice.  However, if the employee is contracted on a part-time basis, then this is adjusted on a pro-rata basis.

 

Q2 – A fast track option is not available.

 

Q3 – Not applicable

 

Q4 – Not applicable

 

Q5 – Not applicable

 

Q6 – The Scottish Ambulance Service does not hold a preceptorship policy; it is for this reason we have applied section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002 as information not held.
