I am submitting the following Freedom of Information request and would appreciate a prompt response. Trade Union Facility Time Data
- How many trade union representatives are currently in place across the whole of the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS)?
- How many trade union representatives in SAS work up to 50% of their working time on trade union duties, including partnership working?
- How many trade union representatives in SAS work between 51% and 99% of their working time on trade union duties, including partnership working?
- How many trade union representatives in SAS work 100% of their working time on trade union duties, including partnership working?

Under the Trade Union (Facility Time Publication Requirements) Regulations 2017, public sector bodies with more than 50 staff and recognised trade unions are required to publish annual data showing the number of relevant trade union officials; and percentages of working time spent on facility time (0%, 1–50%, 51–99%, 100%)
This information is held in the published Annual Report and Accounts Report 2024/2025 available on the Scottish Ambulance Service website - SCOTTISH AMBULANCE SERVICE
This information is available on page 60.
It should be noted that information for 2025/2026 period will be collated in April and be made publicly available in October 2026 after going through the government auditing process.
