Information Requested

1) How many sexual safety incidents have been received in the last 12 months? 2) How many, or what percentage, of these have resulted in dismissal?

 

This request is specifically related to sexual safety incidents between staff (E.G. Sexual harassment, assault or rape), including Student Paramedics.

Response

The Scottish Ambulance Service has recorded six (6) sexual safety cases in the last 12 months.

 

For the purposes of this response, cases are defined as staff‑to‑staff sexual safety incidents, including allegations of sexual harassment, sexual assault or rape that include all staff groups.  The 12‑month period has been calculated using the case start date.

 

All six cases remain ongoing, and therefore no disciplinary outcomes have been concluded at this time. As a result, the percentage of cases resulting in dismissal is 0%
