Information Requested

I would like information on Scottish Ambulance Service attendances at Monklands University Hospital around 23:00 on 13 January 2026 to 01:30 on 14 January 2026. To ensure privacy, I am happy for the data to be aggregated or rounded. Ideally, please provide: Number of attendances by call priority category (aggregated if needed). Time the resource became clear, as averages, ranges, or rounded intervals. If the dataset is too small, a slightly wider time window or summary across multiple days is acceptable.

Response

The number of Scottish Ambulance Service attendances at University Hospital Monklands between approximately 23:00 on 13 January 2026 and 01:30 on 14 January 2026 was previously disclosed in response to FOI 26‑119, which is publicly available on the Scottish Ambulance Service website. Due to the very small number of attendances within that narrow time window, the information could not be broken down further without increasing the risk of identifying individuals.

In order to provide additional information while protecting patient confidentiality, the timeframe was therefore widened to include all of 13 January 2026 and 14 January 2026. The data has been presented in aggregated form and broken down by call priority colour category.

The turnaround time data shown represents the period from when an ambulance arrives at University Hospital Monklands to when the resource is recorded as clear and available for further deployment. This typically includes time spent waiting to offload a patient, completing handover, and any necessary administrative or clinical processes before the ambulance can return to service.

The table provides a summary of this information using aggregated measures only, including the number of conveyances, average, median, and 90th percentile turnaround times, to give an overview of ambulance activity during the period without disclosing incident‑level or identifiable information.

For all FOI responses where the number is between 0 and 5, our policy is that we do not provide an exact figure as the numbers are so small that disclosure could risk identifying individuals. In such circumstances, we instead say ‘<5’.

The Scottish Ambulance service has a duty, under the Data Protection Act to avoid directly or indirectly revealing any personal details. It is therefore widely understood that provision of statistics on small numbers, five or less are statistically suppressed upon disclosure.
