I would therefore be grateful if you could provide the following information:
- A list of the current contents of the burn’s packs used within your ambulance service.
- Any relevant clinical guidance, standard operating procedures, or procurement specifications relating to the burns packs or burn care consumables carried on frontline vehicles.
- Details of any recent reviews or planned changes to the burns pack contents, if available
- Response

The Scottish Ambulance Service do not carry burn packs. However, in addition to our standard response equipment and medicines (including analgesia), each ambulance is equipped with a roll of cling film.
- Any relevant clinical guidance, standard operating procedures, or procurement specifications relating to the burns packs or burn care consumables carried on frontline vehicles.
The Scottish Ambulance Service follow the current core JRCALC Burns and Scalds guidance. but do not carry/include burns gel dressings.
- Details of any recent reviews or planned changes to the burns pack contents, if available.
On receipt, we will review and implement updates to JRCALC guidance. There are no current plans to further review burns response equipment.
