Response

The Scottish Ambulance Service can provide information only where it is already held in a recorded format at the time the request is received.

While we hold incident records and can search at postcode level, we do not hold a report or dataset that can reliably identify incidents as being specifically at an individual premises or exact address (such as SWG3, 100 Eastvale Place, Glasgow, G3 8QG). Producing a monthly count for an exact address would require manual interpretation and judgement on a case-by-case basis (for example, where multiple premises share a postcode, or where the incident location recorded may be near a premises rather than at a specific address). In FOI terms, this would require us to create new information rather than disclose information already held.

We are therefore issuing notice under section 17 of FOISA (information not held) in relation to a monthly count for the exact address requested.

As advice and assistance, we can provide the attended emergency incidents at G3 8QG postcode level (with the caveat that these would not be exclusively incidents at SWG3)

The numbers involved are too small to be broken down by calendar month, as further disaggregation would create a risk that individual incidents could become identifiable.
