- Information Requested
I represent a group in the village of Monymusk. We are trying to get information to find a cost/benefit analysis of a proposed down-hill biking centre here on Pitfichie Hill. We are aware that the sport has a relatively high incidence of injuries and wondered if you have any figures of the number of times that you have been involved in such injuries and a rough idea as to the cost of such a call outs. We are aware that you have, in the past, been involved at Tarland. So, figures relating to biking injuries there would be useful.

Under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, we are only required to provide information which is recorded and held by the Scottish Ambulance Service at the time a request is received.
Our records show that there have been 7 call outs to postcode AB34 4ZQ in the last 10 years. However, none of these incidents were recorded as relating to biking incidents.
The Scottish Ambulance Service does not hold recorded information calculating the average cost of an ambulance attendance to this postcode for these incidents. Under FOISA, we are not required to create new information in order to answer a request. It is for this reason we have applied section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002, as information not held.
