Could you please provide information on the number of call outs the West Special Operations Response Team Rapid response vehicle attended between the years 2023 to 2026. If possible, from that information could you break it down to show the call outs that had a SORT specific AMPDS code, compared to the ones that did not. Could you also provide information on the health board area that the West Special Operations Response Team Rapid response vehicle attends most.

For the purposes of this response, the Scottish Ambulance Service has interpreted the request as relating to incidents attended between 1 January 2023 and 30 June 2026;
The figures provided relate to attended incidents only and have been split by calendar year, health board area, and whether the incident was recorded against a SORT Pre-Determined Alert code or a non-SORT Pre-Determined Alert code.

The SORT PDA codes used for reporting are based on the reporting list available at the time of extraction. These codes are static for reporting purposes and may have changed since the list was last updated. The figures should therefore be treated as an indication of incidents identified through the reporting criteria, rather than a definitive clinical or operational assessment of every incident where SORT capability may have been relevant
In accordance with statistical disclosure control principles, where the number of incidents is fewer than five but greater that zero, figures have been suppressed and shown as "<5". This is because disclosure of very small numbers may increase the risk of individuals being identified when combined with other information that may be available.
Where suppression has been applied, the exact figure is exempt from disclosure under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information), as disclosure could lead to the identification of individuals and would therefore contravene the data protection principles.
