Information Requested

Can I request: Since April 2022 - March 2026. How many incident reports (datix and in phase) have been recorded for
issues pertaining to the corpuls defibrillator? Can these be categorised into the titles of the issues i.e. sats monitoring,
etc02 and so on, per year.

Response

Please see the table below detailing the number of Datix or Inphase incidents raised in relation to the
Corplus defibs, these have been provided with the categories of incidents as held by the Scottish
Ambulance Service.

Please not caution when interpreting this data
The figures provided represent incidents recorded against Corpuls equipment categories and should not be
considered a measure of Corpuls defibrillator failures. Review of the incident descriptions indicates that
many records relate to missing or damaged accessories, such as SpO₂ probes, blood pressure cuffs, ECG
leads, cables and other ancillary equipment, rather than faults with the monitor/defibrillator unit itself. The
data also includes incidents relating to equipment availability, replacement requirements and other
equipment-management issues. Accordingly, the figures should be interpreted as reports associated with
Corpuls equipment and accessories, rather than confirmed failures of the Corpuls defibrillator.
