I am looking to find out some example shift patterns. Do you have shift patterns for Stations in South Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Ayrshire and Stirling?
Do newly qualified paramedics still go on to relief shifts?
- Response
The Scottish Ambulance Service does not hold local station rosters centrally for South Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Ayrshire or Stirling. Local roster patterns may vary depending on operational requirements.
We have provided a generic 36-hour relief roster pattern which may be typical of a relief member of staff and is used in both Ayrshire and Arran and Lanarkshire. The example shows five 7.2-hour relief shifts across Monday to Friday, totalling 36 hours per week.

Newly qualified paramedics can still join the Service as relief staff, depending on the vacancies available and local operational requirements.
