I’m looking for updated information from a FOI 25-474; transfers made from Scotland to England for neonatal transfer and England to Scotland.
Please can I have from 2016 to 2026 to date please. I have posted below current data you have given to make the FOI request easier, I just need the additional years. Please see the table below. The figures show neonatal transfers dispatched:
- from Scotland to England; and
- from England to Scotland.
The data has been provided by calendar year from 2016 to 2026 to date.
Where figures are shown as “<5”, this means the figure is fewer than five. These figures have been suppressed because the number is small and disclosure could create a risk of identifying individuals, particularly when combined with other information. This information is therefore withheld under section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Please note caution when interpreting this data
The opening of the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (RHCYP), which is co-located with the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE), changed patient pathways for neonatal care. Prior to this, some babies requiring transfer between the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and the RIE would have required a neonatal transport. As a result, figures from different years may not be directly comparable.
