In this context, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please provide me with the following information for this Ambulance Service:

  1. - Total number of calls (all categories) that the service received each day in the period 24-26 June 2026.
  1. - A list of the top 50 days in the service’s history for Category 1 call responses, including the date and total number of calls on each day.
  1. - A list of the top 50 days in the service’s history for calls (all categories), including the date and total number of calls on each day.

When I say “in the service’s history”, I mean for as long back as records stretch and can be reasonably accessed. Please indicate the timescale this covers in your response.

Response

The request has referenced information published by the London Ambulance Service. The Scottish Ambulance Service cannot comment on the methodology used by other ambulance services when recording or reporting activity. Differences in geography, population served, service configuration, call handling arrangements, categorisation processes and data recording practices mean that activity figures are not necessarily directly comparable between ambulance services. The information disclosed in this response relates solely to the Scottish Ambulance Service and should not be used in isolation to draw direct comparisons with other UK ambulance organisations.
