Please provide the following information for the latest 12-month period available relating to the use of 4% chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) products within your Trust. 

For all 4% chlorhexidine products used for patient decolonisation, skin antisepsis, surgical hand antisepsis or surgical scrubbing, please provide: 

  • Product brand name 
  • Manufacturer/supplier 
  • Pack size 
  • Total quantity purchased during the period (units, bottles, litres, cartridges, sachets, etc.) 
  • Total annual spend (£)

The Scottish Ambulance Service does not use 4% chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) products for patient decolonisation, skin antisepsis, surgical hand antisepsis or surgical scrubbing. As these products are not used by the Service, we do not hold recorded information on product brand names, manufacturers/suppliers, pack sizes, quantities purchased or annual spend.
