Information Requested

I would like to know the Scottish Ambulance Service's rank/role structure and what each of the roles do i.e what their responsibilities are etc.

Response

Under the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002, the Scottish Ambulance Service is only required to provide information that is held and recorded at the time a request is received.

The Scottish Ambulance Service does not hold the information you have requested in a way that would allow us to provide you with a rank/role structure along with roles/responsibilities.  To provide a complete list of all ranks, roles and responsibilities across the Service would require the creation of new information through the analysis and collation of information from multiple systems, departmental structures, workforce records and individual job descriptions held across the organisation.

The Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002 does not require public authorities to create new information in order to answer a request. It is for these reasons we have applied section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002 to your request, as information not held.
