2. Where recorded, please provide a breakdown of these attendances by:

4. Please search for incidents recorded against both Springboig Road and Tynecastle Street, as well as incidents specifically recorded at the junction of the two roads.
5. If your records contain a geographical location, postcode, grid reference or other location identifier for these incidents, please use that information to identify incidents occurring at or immediately around the junction.
If the exact junction cannot be identified from the information provided, please advise what additional location information would be required to identify the relevant incidents.- Response
Following clarification of your request, searches were undertaken for road traffic collision incidents recorded within postcode areas G32 0DB and G32 0BW between 5 September 2024 and 5 September 2026.
Please note that the Scottish Ambulance Service does not record incidents in a manner that allows reporting on a specific road junction. Following clarification from you, searches were therefore undertaken using the postcode areas provided. Any incidents identified through this search may have occurred anywhere within the relevant postcode areas and should not be interpreted as relating exclusively to the junction of Springboig Road and Tynecastle Street.
The searches identified a very small number of incidents within the scope of your request. We have therefore considered whether disclosure of the requested information would result in the identification of individuals involved in those incidents.
The information you have requested is exempt from disclosure under section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, as it constitutes personal data and disclosure would contravene the data protection principles set out in UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Although you have requested statistical information only, the small number of incidents identified, combined with the specific location and time period requested, means that disclosure of the requested breakdown could lead to the identification of individuals involved in those incidents.
Section 38(1)(b) is an absolute exemption and is therefore not subject to the public interest test.
For completeness, we can advise that searches undertaken using alternative incident classification fields did not identify any additional incidents falling within the scope of your request.
Please also note that Scottish Ambulance Service records reflect only incidents to which the Service was requested to respond. They should not be regarded as a record of all road traffic collisions occurring at a particular location. Other organisations, including Police Scotland, may hold information relating to road traffic collisions that did not result in an ambulance response.
