Would it be possible to send me the company car justification scoring matrix for SAS please? 

Response

The Scottish Ambulance Service holds the information on the scoring methodology for the employee lease scheme. However, we are withholding the detailed scoring methodology under section 30(c) of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002 (Prejudice to the effective conduct of public affairs). 

While information regarding the criteria considered when assessing lease car applications is publicly available (FOI 26-382 SAS Employee Car Lease Scheme), the scoring details forms part of the Service's internal assessment process. Disclosure of the specific scoring methodology would, or would be likely to, prejudice substantially the Service's ability to operate and administer the scheme effectively by undermining the integrity of the assessment process and the allocation of a limited resource. 

 

This exemption is subject to the public interest test. We recognise there is a public interest in transparency around decision-making. However, we consider this is outweighed by the public interest in ensuring that the Service can effectively manage the lease car scheme and allocate resources according to operational requirements.
