Please kindly provide us with the following information:
- A copy of the Scottish Ambulance Service's pre alert guidance for pre-alerting hospitals when a stroke is suspected.
We would be grateful if you could provide us with the above information correct as at as at December 2023 to present.

The Scottish Ambulance Service follows the guidance contained within the Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee (JRCALC) Clinical Practice Guidelines.
JRCALC guidance is maintained and updated centrally. The Scottish Ambulance Service does not retain historic versions of this guidance and therefore does not hold a version specifically corresponding to December 2023.
For assistance, stroke pre-alert guidance has remained materially unchanged over the period requested and information regarding the guidance in use by practitioners was previously released in response to FOI 25-202, which is available on our website: FOI 25-202 Practitioner's Stroke Guidance
Please note that this guidance supports clinical decision making and crews will always apply their professional judgement alongside the guidance, taking into account the patient's presentation and clinical circumstances.
