Under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, I would like to request recorded information relating to the planned procurement titled “Provision of cleaning services for Lothian stations & vehicles”, listed in the Scottish Ambulance Service Procurement Annual Report 2024/25 with an estimated value of £165,710.
Please provide the following information, where held:
- Whether this procurement proceeded, was postponed, cancelled, or remains under consideration.
- The tender reference number and publication date, if it was advertised.
- The contract award notice, successful supplier and contract value, if awarded.
- The current contract start date and expiry date, including any extensions.
- If no new tender was issued, the recorded status of the existing contract and any planned date for a new competition.
- Where and how interested suppliers can find future tender opportunities for this service.

Q1 - Whether this procurement proceeded, was postponed, cancelled, or remains under consideration.
The procurement did not proceed on the basis originally proposed. The scope has since changed and the Scottish Ambulance Service now intends to undertake a procurement exercise for cleaning services across all sites. It is currently anticipated that this procurement will commence during the 2027/28 financial year.

Not applicable. The procurement was not advertised and therefore there is no tender reference number or publication date.

Not applicable. As the procurement did not proceed to tender, no contract was awarded.

The previous contract has expired.

As noted above, the previous contract has expired. The Scottish Ambulance Service currently intends to commence a new procurement exercise for cleaning services across all sites during the 2027/28 financial year.
